Credentials

I have been practicing as a registered psychotherapist for almost 30 years (since 1991). In addition to the degrees and clinical registrations I continue to learn and grow as a therapist by attending workshops, conferences and am constantly reading the most current research in the field. I have taught at Sheridan College in the Social Work program, consulted to a number of corporations and regularly volunteer in the community, including Bereaved Families of Ontario; Lighthouse Centre for Grieving Children; Wellspring: Hospice of Peel; Camp Erin; ParentChild Centre in Burlington.
Psychology degree (Vermont College at Norwich University)
Masters in Education (Brock University)
Psychotherapy studies (The Toronto Institute for Human Relations)
Clinical member of:
The Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists
College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario
Approach
I believe in a holistic approach to working with people and therefore work collaboratively with other health care professionals to help you both psychologically and physically. Most referrals are from local physicians, which ensures a connected circle of care. Where appropriate, and with your prior consent, I also collaborate with psychiatrists and other health care providers to give you the best care possible.
I passionately believe Psychotherapy is for everyone – all people, regardless of religion, race, gender identity, sexual orientation or background.
